A program with a good basic wizard interface, poor localization, very soft demo restrictions, a very poor previewer, poor recovery feature set, and average recovery performance.
Its strong points are: A good recovery performance for deleted and damaged partitions.
Its weak points are: A very poor localization (only the English interface language and the program didn’t recognize non-European characters). It has no disk imaging, no logging capabilities, and no S.M.A.R.T. monitoring.
Interface and Features
File search, mark for recovery, sorting: 3.5Compare
Files can be shown as Large icons or Details. Sorting can be performed by clicking column titles. Files can be searched for by using a search string and ordered by file Type, Path, Time.
File recovery using file signatures (raw file recovery): 4.5Compare
Supports raw file recovery with a pre-defined file signature set. File types to search for cannot be selected. Found files appear in the Special lost files (Label) and More lost files (RAW) section.
Deep analysis of disks (disk scan): 4.0Compare
Drive objects (Desktop, a hard drive, a partition) can be selected for scan. Disk scan can be paused and then resumed. Scan results can be exported and imported.
